I'm Kim, the maker behind Studio Kimi.
The name comes from Kimmy, what I was called as a kid. There's something about how kids follow their curiosity, dreaming and imagining their way from one whim to the next, that I wanted to hold onto.
Studio Kimi is a small tribute to that childhood — a space to play.
what I make
Every piece starts on the wheel and is thrown, glazed, and fired by hand.
I mostly work in tableware and functional pieces for the home. I love well-designed products, the kind where every detail feels considered, and I try to bring that same care to my work. These pieces are meant to be used, small parts of everyday life, and it makes me happy knowing they're out in different homes, becoming part of other people's lives.
